Sandi's week #21

Sandi here today with my week #21.  Barely a week goes by without having any food pictures in my Project Life spread.  My hubby and I are truly "foodies". When on vacation we actually check out new grocery stores for local favorite foods.  Our recent trip to the Carolinas included a mandatory stop for fresh caught local South Carolina shrimp.  We have favorite places to eat all over the country.  This week included one of our favorite Greek places in West Palm Beach -- Taverna Opa and an awesome dive in Key Largo called Evelyn's that serves the BEST breakfast in the Keys.

and here is page 2:

and here is both of them together:

Do you take pictures of your food?  We not only take pictures while dining out, we also take pictures of our food at home....Dave's takes many of the pictures and calls it food porn!  LOL

So how about it?  Why not link up with us and show us your food porn?  Just click HERE for the current Food For Thought challenge.

New Challenge {Food for Thought}

Good morning! We had SO much fun seeing your takes on the "make your own journaling card" challenge. I gained a few more ideas for embellishing my PL album; I hope you did too :) Use your stash!!

This week, I have a photo challenge for you!  A little food for thought ;)

That's right, we want to see a FOOD photo included in your spread.

Oh, you know what I'm talking about it. The close up, mouth watering postcard picture your friend just posted on facebook and now you are dying for a triple fudge ice cream sundae! lol!

Time to make a memory of your own menu folks! Whether it be a birthday cake, special dinner, or everyday chinese take out night; take a photo for this week's challenge.

Here's my take on it!!

I have several food photos on this one!
An everyday pic of our "breakfast bar":

Our dinner at home (stuffed peppers YUM!) in our sunroom:

A delicious bread basket at the Olive Garden (to die for!):

And even a humorous (NOT) photo of a half eaten bag of pretzel rolls that my dog got into:

I have to keep it real, folks. It's Project LIFE after all ;)

Are you inspired or hungry? Hopefully both lol! I hope to see lots of entries this week. Here's the PL RAK you are playing for:

We hope to see lots of delicious entries! Link up by August 31st for your chance to win.

Have a great weekend! It's almost here I can say that right?

Challenge #4 -- Make Your own Journaling Card

Wowzers!  It is already August!  This is one of my favorite months of the year --not only do I have a birthday this month but so does my mother-in-law, daughter-in-law and my adorable youngest grandchild....Isabelle Grace who will be 2 on August 16th.
To celebrate this month I am offering a special prize....one of THE most talked about collections from the recent summer CHA......
Bella Blvd's Snapshots collection!!

My LSS just called me and told me the collections I ordered are in.  Due to my work schedule, I have not gotten over there to pick them up yet so I do not have a photo.  However you can see more HERE
So, you ask.....what is required to be in the running for this super cool prize?  The challenge this time is to make your own journaling card.  Here is one that I whipped up last night:

I used a sheet from my 6x6 Fancy Pants paper pad Down By the Shore, cut it to 3x4 and rounded the corners. Then I punched 3 cute little anchors out of the bottom with my Studio Calico anchor punch and backed it with navy cardstock.  I took a small strip of red mini chevron paper and adhered that and topped it with a sticker from the same Fancy Pants collection.  I added some faux stitching around the edges and called it done.  I loved making this and could easily get addicted to making them. What a great way to use up your scraps and unused stickers.

I also made a couple of cards for this Week #20 page:

I made the Click! card in about 90 seconds (cut the scrap paper, rounded the corners and added 2 Simple Stories stickers).  I also made the Hockey Is Life 4x6 journaling card with an old epoxy sticker.

A;right so now it is your turn.  Let me see what you can make.  If you would like some more inspiration check out THIS awesome recent blog post on the Pebbles blog by Nicole Nowosad.

You have until noon on August 14th to link your project.  I will announce the winner that evening and we will have a new challenge on August 15th.
