Sad News.........

After consideration and discussion between the two of us, Suzanne and I have made the tough decision to shut down this challenge blog.  Suzanne and I both work full time jobs and in addition to that Suzanne is a brand new mommy.  We are still committed to documenting our lives through Project Life and will be posting our pages on our personal blogs.

Special Guest Designer -- April Walker

We have a special treat today.  I have asked my friend April Walker from North Carolina to share some of her amazing pages with us.  April does not do day to day life pages as I do but rather right now is documenting a recent trip she and her husband took.  Her style and pages are amazing and I love looking at and getting inspired by her work.

There are many ways to approach this style of scrapping and memory preservation.  There is no right or wrong way.

To see more of April's amazing work check out her blog HERE.

Keep Calm and Stamp On

We have a new challenge here at Week-2-Week and it is to include stamping on your page. Here is my week #26:
You can see the stamping that I included on a couple of cards in these individual pictures of the pages:

On the left page I used my Ali Edwards stamps for the "MONDAY" banner on the Hawks Win card.  On the right side page I used my Paper Smooches stamp from Slang Gang to stamp the "Oh no you dit-ten" on the card in the top row on the left.  I also stamped rain drops on the 4x6 card in the lower right hand corner.

I love stamping on my journal cards....I just forget to do it sometimes.  So if you are like me....here is your little reminder to break out those stamps, dust them off, stamp up a storm and enter to win.  Do you want to see your prize this time?

I have three rolls of Mix Tape from American Crafts, a 6x6 Crate Paper pad and some 4x6 and 3x4 journaling cards.  Let's see your pages!!

New Challenge!!

Happy Monday (NOT!) Today was one of those days, but luckily it's almost time to crawl into my comfy bed. Before I do, I wanted to post the next challenge here at Week 2 Week!

Here is my page for this week!

I'm so excited to be at the 2nd week of June in my PL album. Why? It's the week we got the call we were going to be parents. My "twinkle twinkle little star, do you know how loved you are" quote card for this week's prompt comes from Me and My Big Idea's Baby Girl pack.

Here are some close ups of other cards:

That phone from Doodlebug was the perfect embellie for my journaling.

Another card from the MAMBI baby girl pack, which I added my alpha stickers to make a personal subtitle.

I'm loving these Amy Tan transparent alphas! Had to include a before collage of our nursery before it went PINK :)

What are you playing for this week? How about a quote stamp set and oh so cute Studio Calico anchor punch.

Thanks so much for stopping by today! I love all the quote cards available for PL and can't wait to see the one you choose for your spread this week. You could also make your own! Have a great week.

Welcome Our Guest Designer Michelle Bostinelos!!

Today we have a special treat!  I have invited Michelle Bostinelos to be our very first guest designer here at Week-2-Week.  I first got to know Michelle through her awesome blog Busy Being Happy.  She is an awesome photographer and her pictures are the star of her Project Life pages.  I sent her the sketches for the current challenge and she worked 3 of them into her Week 34 pages.

Here is what she had to say:

"My date card is inspired by the 2nd 4x6 you have listed. I have a 3x4 card (orange with stars) that I used washi tape and sequins inspired by the 1st 3x4 sketch on your list. And another 4x6 card that I use the three stars at the top."

Aren't her pages awesome?  I especially love the addition of the 8x10 enlargement in the above picture. AND...she stamped on it.  LOVE IT!

You can check out Michelle's blog right HERE and see ALL of her awesome work and get to know her.  She is very inspirational in many ways.  Thanks Michelle for letting me feature your work.

Please do not forget our current challenge to use one or more of these sketches:

September 1st Sketch Challenge

Sandi here and I am so excited to bring you our next challenge here at Week-2-Week.  This time around I am challenging you to use one or more of these sketches for your individual cards.  I saved these sketches to my Project Life Pinterest page awhile ago and I am not sure where they came from but I did not draw them or think them up myself.

I used the top left sketch for my title card and the 2nd row middle card also.  Here is page 1 of week #23:

I used lots of Bella Blvd on the page because well, I love BB and it was on my desk.  I am starting to include what I am calling my Pin of the week on my spreads.  This week it was the Chicago poster.  Do you Pinterest?  Do you include some of your favorite pins on your pages?

So my challenge is to use at least one of these sketches on your spread and make sure to let me know which one you used.  Our prize this time is the much sought after Becky Higgins Project Life corner rounder:

Suzanne and I are hoping with the return of the kiddos to school, maybe we will have more participation in our challenges.  Will you help us spread the word this week?  Thanks!

Sandi's week #21

Sandi here today with my week #21.  Barely a week goes by without having any food pictures in my Project Life spread.  My hubby and I are truly "foodies". When on vacation we actually check out new grocery stores for local favorite foods.  Our recent trip to the Carolinas included a mandatory stop for fresh caught local South Carolina shrimp.  We have favorite places to eat all over the country.  This week included one of our favorite Greek places in West Palm Beach -- Taverna Opa and an awesome dive in Key Largo called Evelyn's that serves the BEST breakfast in the Keys.

and here is page 2:

and here is both of them together:

Do you take pictures of your food?  We not only take pictures while dining out, we also take pictures of our food at home....Dave's takes many of the pictures and calls it food porn!  LOL

So how about it?  Why not link up with us and show us your food porn?  Just click HERE for the current Food For Thought challenge.

New Challenge {Food for Thought}

Good morning! We had SO much fun seeing your takes on the "make your own journaling card" challenge. I gained a few more ideas for embellishing my PL album; I hope you did too :) Use your stash!!

This week, I have a photo challenge for you!  A little food for thought ;)

That's right, we want to see a FOOD photo included in your spread.

Oh, you know what I'm talking about it. The close up, mouth watering postcard picture your friend just posted on facebook and now you are dying for a triple fudge ice cream sundae! lol!

Time to make a memory of your own menu folks! Whether it be a birthday cake, special dinner, or everyday chinese take out night; take a photo for this week's challenge.

Here's my take on it!!

I have several food photos on this one!
An everyday pic of our "breakfast bar":

Our dinner at home (stuffed peppers YUM!) in our sunroom:

A delicious bread basket at the Olive Garden (to die for!):

And even a humorous (NOT) photo of a half eaten bag of pretzel rolls that my dog got into:

I have to keep it real, folks. It's Project LIFE after all ;)

Are you inspired or hungry? Hopefully both lol! I hope to see lots of entries this week. Here's the PL RAK you are playing for:

Challenge #4 -- Make Your own Journaling Card

Wowzers!  It is already August!  This is one of my favorite months of the year --not only do I have a birthday this month but so does my mother-in-law, daughter-in-law and my adorable youngest grandchild....Isabelle Grace who will be 2 on August 16th.
To celebrate this month I am offering a special prize....one of THE most talked about collections from the recent summer CHA......
Bella Blvd's Snapshots collection!!

My LSS just called me and told me the collections I ordered are in.  Due to my work schedule, I have not gotten over there to pick them up yet so I do not have a photo.  However you can see more HERE
So, you ask.....what is required to be in the running for this super cool prize?  The challenge this time is to make your own journaling card.  Here is one that I whipped up last night:

I used a sheet from my 6x6 Fancy Pants paper pad Down By the Shore, cut it to 3x4 and rounded the corners. Then I punched 3 cute little anchors out of the bottom with my Studio Calico anchor punch and backed it with navy cardstock.  I took a small strip of red mini chevron paper and adhered that and topped it with a sticker from the same Fancy Pants collection.  I added some faux stitching around the edges and called it done.  I loved making this and could easily get addicted to making them. What a great way to use up your scraps and unused stickers.

I also made a couple of cards for this Week #20 page:

I made the Click! card in about 90 seconds (cut the scrap paper, rounded the corners and added 2 Simple Stories stickers).  I also made the Hockey Is Life 4x6 journaling card with an old epoxy sticker.

A;right so now it is your turn.  Let me see what you can make.  If you would like some more inspiration check out THIS awesome recent blog post on the Pebbles blog by Nicole Nowosad.

You have until noon on August 14th to link your project.  I will announce the winner that evening and we will have a new challenge on August 15th.

Sandi's Week #19

Funny how Suzanne and I are behind the same number of weekx in Project Life.  We both just completed week #19.  I used Suzanne's awesome sketch for my title card.  I also used some older Amy Tangerine stitched look Thickers that I have been hoarding.  I seriously have like a dozen packages of these in 3 different colors and I am now forcing myself to use them.  They are just so CUTE!!  Am I the only one that hestitates to use something that they really like?  That was also the case for that yellow anchor flair badge on my title card. But now having used it, I love where it is and how it looks.  Challenge this week from me.....use something you have been saving for just the right time.  The time is now....seize the moment.  LOL

Well there you have it....week #19 is in the books.  I hope we can inspire you to create a PL spread this week....you are never too behind to catch up.  I would love to see a bunch of entries this time.  To get all the details and link up your project go to THIS post of Suzanne's.

Sketch Challenge!!

Wahoo!!! It's time for our next challenge here at Week 2 Week. Before Project Life, I gained most of my inspiration and design from using sketches found on blogs and other challenge sites. It took the guesswork out of planning my layout and gave me ideas for how to use my papers and embellishments. Some of my favorite pages came from sketches that I used again and again. I thought, why not have a Project Life sketch challenge?

Here we go!!

Just as with a traditional layout sketch, feel free to put your own spin on it. You can use it as designed for your "Week #" title card or you can adapt it for a different 4x6 or 3x4 etc insert. Here's my take on it:

I love how it turned out! I used papers from My Minds' Eye "My Girl" 6x6 pad. I fussy cut the "be happy" from one of the patterened papers. The "Week 18" and "This is the life" yellow alphas came from Simple Stories' Sn@p! line.

I hope you play along with this week's sketch! Here is what you are playing for:

I love using 6x6 pads in my Project Life album. I have the new Bo Bunny "Key Lime" collection, as well as 4x6 cards from Doodlebug's new "Stars and Stripes" simply put line. Both of these are great for your summer PL pages! I will also have a small assortment of embellishments including buttons and washi and a few other goodies from my stash ;)

Please check out at our ABOUT W2W for all the details on playing along with our challenges :)

Looking forward to seeing your creations! Link up below by July 31st to enter to win.
